Fraudulent e-mails purporting to be from Commerce Bank ask customers to provide personal account information, including their PIN numbers.
In order to safeguard your account, do not reply to the e-mail and do not
give any account information or personal details to the sender.
Commerce Bank does not ask our customers via unsolicited e-mail
or any other insecure means to enter (or record) account information
online for any reason. Our best advice is to never provide
account numbers, passwords, or other identifying information
in response to any unsolicited e-mail, and do not share your
PIN under any circumstance.
At Commerce, we are taking the necessary steps to protect
your account by working with law enforcement agencies to investigate
the
fraudulent activity. If you suspect that the security of your
accounts
has been compromised, please contact our Customer Care
Center at 1-800-453-2265.
| Security Tip: Never click on a link contained in
a suspicious email. If you do, it is possible your computer
will lock up. Click on the X icon in the upper right hand
area of the pop-up window to close the screen. You may
need to click this icon repeatedly before the screen closes.
