COMMERCE BANK INTRODUCES TECHNOLOGY ADVANCES: MOBILE BANKING, ALERTS AND WEB SITE REDESIGN MAKE BANKING WITH COMMERCE EASIER

St. Louis, MO, January 26, 2009 – Managing finances has never been easier for Commerce Bank customers with the roll-out of Commerce’s new Mobile Banking service and Alerts by email. In addition, Commerce Bank’s redesigned web site featuring a new layout gives customers more convenient access to their accounts and greater control over their finances.

Mobile Banking
Commerce Online Banking customers can manage their finances from a web-enabled cell phone or mobile device when they view account balances; view account activity from the past seven days; and transfer funds between Commerce Bank accounts.

“Commerce is offering our customers a simplified Mobile Banking experience that can be easily viewed on a smaller mobile screen,” said John Capuro, Online Banking product manager. “This time-saving technology allows customers who have web access on their mobile device to manage their finances using any mobile device with Internet access at no additional charge from Commerce.”

Alerts
Commerce Bank customers can also receive Alerts about account activity via email. Account holders who sign up online for Alerts are notified of important account activity such as when their balance has fallen below a specified amount, a direct deposit has been received, or information that their address, Online Banking customer ID, or password has been changed.

Web Site Redesign
Commerce Bank’s web site redesign offers a new look, new content and significant layout updates. The redesign gives customers the ability to log in to Online Banking directly from the commercebank.com home page, improved navigation so visitors can find what they need more quickly and easily, and an area for news and current promotions from Commerce Bank.

"Over the last year, Commerce has conducted surveys and research studies to ask our customers what they wanted from our web site and those results have influenced the new web site design and content," said Cindi Tetrault, Online Services manager. "The web site has been redesigned to allow customers quicker access to their accounts and to more easily determine which products and services best meet their needs."
