COMMERCE BANK ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS

St. Joseph, MO - May 30, 2003 - Commerce Bank, St. Joseph announced the promotion of Shawn M. Drew and Jennifer L. Kendel in the commercial banking division.

Shawn M. Drew has been promoted to Commercial Loan Representative. He is responsible for business development and customer service related to Commerce's commercial lending. Drew earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri - Columbia.

Jennifer L. Kendel has been promoted to Commercial Sales Specialist. She will be responsible for establishing and maintaining commercial loan relationships. Kendel is a graduate of Missouri Western State College and has a Commercial Diploma from the American Institute of Banking.
