What is Online Account Access?

Online Account Access is an Internet-based tool offered by The Commerce Trust Company to existing clients including individuals and businesses. Online Account Access provides 24 hour/seven days a week access to holdings and transactions.

What do I need to do to use Online Account Access?

In addition to an existing account with The Commerce Trust Company, you need to enroll, and you'll need a computer, an Internet Service Provider (ISP), and a browser that supports 128 bit encryption.

Is my account information safe using Online Account Access?

You will be assigned a unique Access ID and PIN, which will be sent to you separately by US Mail. The PIN must be changed as you login the first time. You will be able to change your PIN any time you choose. Also, Online Account Access requires 128 bit encryption when accessing account information using the Internet.

What is 128 bit encryption?

Encryption allows secure transmission of information via the Internet using scrambling technology. 128 bit encryption is currently the highest level of encryption available.

What Internet browser do I need to use?

Online Account Access can best be viewed utilizing Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 Service Pack 1 (or higher) or Netscape Navigator 4.78 (or higher).

To ensure that your page is refreshed with the correct information after you select a different account number and/or select a different time period and select Go, it is strongly recommended that the Browser cache option be set to "Every time". The following are instructions for setting the cache correctly:

For Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 1 (or higher):

  • Select Tools on the browser menu
  • Select Internet Options
  • On the General tab, under the Temporary Internet Files section, select Settings
  • Select "Every visit to the page" radio button
  • Select OK until you are out of the Internet Options
For Netscape Navigator 4.78 (or higher):

  • Select Edit on the browser menu
  • Select Preferences
  • Select Advanced from the Category options
  • Select Cache
  • Under the Cache option, select the "Every time" radio button
  • Select OK until you are out of the Edit Options
For AOL 4.0 (or later):

Select Preferences on the browser menu->Select WWW->On the General tab, under the Temporary Internet Files section, select Settings->Select "Every visit to the page" radio button->Select OK until you are out of the Preferences options

How do I log in and change my PIN the first time?

  • Go to www.commercebank.com
  • Click on the "Trust" link
  • Click on the "Login Now" button next to the appropriate link (The enrollment information letter will have specified either "Your Individual Account" or "Your Family Office/Institutional Account")
  • Type in your Access ID and PIN which was included in the enrollment information letters
  • Click the "Change PIN" box
  • Click the "Log On" button
  • Type in the PIN you were given in the Current PIN field
  • Type in a new PIN (6 - 8 characters) in both the New PIN and Confirm PIN fields
  • Click the "Update" button
  • Click your browser's back button 2 times to login using your new PIN
