Earning Points

How can I earn points for merchandise in the Garfield Rewards program catalog?

Earning points is easy. By simply using your Commerce Bank Garfield Visa card, you can earn:

  • 1 point for every $1 in Net Merchandise Purchases;
  • 2 points for every $1 in Net Merchandise Purchases made at Garfield Stuff and Doc's Attic; and
  • 3 points for every $1 of purchase and fee interest accrued on your account balance.
When can I start earning points on my account?

You can start earning points on your account today by simply using your Garfield Visa card for your everyday purchasing needs.

What qualifies as a Net Merchandise Purchase?

"Net Merchandise Purchases" means purchases of merchandise or services on the account net of any returned merchandise credits or service credits posted to the account and does not include any money orders, cash advances, balance transfers, fees for money orders, cash advances or balance transfers, revolving balances, finance charges, traveler's checks, gaming chips or fees that protect or insure the balances of an accountholder's account.

How will I know how many points I have?

Your point balance will appear on your Commerce Bank Garfield Visa card's monthly billing statement.

Is there a limit to the number of points I can earn?

No. You can continue to earn points throughout the year, and carry them forward from one year to the next. However, unused points earned in the Garfield Rewards program will expire.

Point Redemption

Who can redeem my points?

Primary and secondary cardholders may redeem points earned through the Garfield Rewards program.

When will my points be available for redemption?

Your points are available for redemption as soon as they appear on your monthly billing statement. You may redeem points as soon as you have enough points accumulated for the reward that you want.

How can I redeem points for merchandise featured in the Garfield Rewards program catalog?

You may redeem your points by completing a Garfield Rewards redemption form and faxing it to 1-402-691-7839* or mailing it to:

The redemption forms can be found in your monthly billing statements, on the back of your Garfield Rewards catalog, or by going to www.CommerceBank.com/GarfieldRewards.

When will my merchandise be shipped?

Please allow 4-6 weeks for the item you redeemed to be delivered to your household.

Are shipping charges included in my merchandise order?

Yes, standard shipping is included at no additional charge.

I don't have enough points to redeem the item that I want. Can I purchase additional points?

No. Garfield Rewards points are not associated with a cash value.

Can I transfer points from one account to another?

You cannot transfer points or combine points earned on any other account for merchandise redemption. However, if your account number changes (due to a lost/stolen card, account upgrade, etc.), your points will carry over.

Point Expiration

When will my points expire?

Points earned on your account will accrue and be available to you for redemption until your last statement cycle of the calendar year at which time accrued, unredeemed points that were placed on your account during the fourth preceding calendar year will expire and will be deducted from your available number of points. (Example: unredeemed points that were earned on your account in 2004 will expire and be deducted from your account at the last statement cycle date of 2008)
