Unlike most other lenders, we at Commerce Bank originate and disburse our own student loans. This ensures the highest level of service to our borrowers because we maintain control over the entire process.

After we disburse the funds, we then employ a third-party loan servicer to service the loan on our behalf. Commerce Bank still owns the loan and has full control over the servicer's actions. This allows us to manage the process, so you and your school receive high quality, knowledgeable service. During your grace period or repayment, your loan may be sold to a third-party servicer.
