How does E-Signature work?

E-Signature is a legally binding agreement between you (the borrower) and your lender. It's just like a traditional "ink" signature. The only difference is that your Master Promissory Note (MPN) is completed and signed online. Nothing is sent or signed until you hit "SUBMIT."

Ready to begin?

1. Gather the information that you need to complete your MPN:
   • The borrower's Social Security Number
   • Name of the college or university
   • Contact information for two references - The first may be a parent or guardian, but the second must live at a different address.
   • Requested loan amount
   • Loan period (e.g. Fall 2006 - Spring 2007)
2. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements:
   • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0^® or higher
   • Adobe Acrobat 6.0^® or higher*
   • 28.8K modem or higher
3. Complete and E-sign your online Stafford, Graduate PLUS or Parent PLUS Loan MPN.
