  1. Gather the information that you need to complete your MPN:
    • The borrower's Social Security Number
    • Name of the college or university
    • Contact information for two references - The first may be a parent or guardian, but the second must live at a different address. A common issue that can delay processing is using the same address for both references.
    • Requested loan amount – how much money are you asking for?
    • Loan period (e.g. Fall 2009 - Spring 2010)
  2. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements
  3. Complete and E-sign your online Stafford, Graduate PLUS or Parent PLUS Loan MPN.
    • Stafford loan – for undergraduate students
    • Graduate PLUS loan – for graduate students
