Smith Named Hays Market President

Shane SmithHays, KS – Commerce Bank announced today that Shane Smith has been named president of the Hays market. In this role, Smith will be responsible for the overall administration of Commerce Bank’s Hays region overseeing banking operations and continuing business development and relationship management related to Commerce’s full line of banking, borrowing and treasury management solutions for commercial clients.

Smith began his career with Commerce Bank in August of 2008 as a business banking relationship manager and was promoted to business banking team leader in 2014. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fort Hays State University in 2001. Smith is active in the community, including serving as a board director and past-chairperson for the Hays Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife live in Hays with their two children.
