Mariah Jordan Named to Ingram’s 20 in their 20’s Class of 2020

Kansas City, MO – Mariah Jordan, college recruiting program manager, has been named to Ingram’s 20 in Their 20’s Class of 2020. The award recognizes the achievements and promise of the area’s young entrepreneurs, as well as those who demonstrate entrepreneurial qualities and thinking on behalf of their employers.

Jordan has helped Commerce re-imagine its recruiting process to build a more diverse workforce. She demonstrates a passion for introducing college students, new graduates and others to career opportunities and inspires them towards a successful banking career.

“Mariah showcased her ingenuity when she revamped the bank’s internship program and transformed it into a virtual experience. She facilitated virtual intern onboarding, training and networking opportunities. The feedback on the program was great; one intern described the lessons learned from the internship as “life changing,” said Shawna Wright, director of talent management. “This recognition is a testament to Mariah’s ability to break down hiring barriers, identify qualified candidates in nontraditional places and support inclusion efforts.”

Mariah understands the life-changing nature experiences like these can have. She sees how going above-and-beyond her job’s requirements has opened doors for her own career – a message she continues to carry to those she recruits.
