Kansas City, MO – Anna Jo Davis, VP and Healthcare Portfolio Team Lead, has been named to Ingram’s 20 in Their Twenties Class of 2021. The award recognizes the achievements and promise of the area’s young entrepreneurs, as well as those who demonstrate entrepreneurial qualities and thinking on behalf of their employers.

In July 2020, Anna Jo was named Vice President and Healthcare Portfolio Team Lead – just as the healthcare market was being turned upside down by the pandemic. With elective surgeries cancelled and hospitals losing millions of dollars in revenue a day, administrators turned their attention to keeping their institutions open. Driven by a desire to improve access to healthcare, she immediately set to work researching and formulating strategies for providing the emergency liquidity hospitals urgently needed.

“Anna Jo’s creative thinking led to, among other things, the creation of a temporary process for fast-tracking healthcare credit approvals,” said Andrew Fogt, SVP, Healthcare Banking. “Liquidity lines of credit were soon approved in as little as a few days to the great relief of many healthcare customers.”

Anna Jo graduated from Creighton University with a degree in Finance and Financial Planning. As a former recipient of the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation scholarship, Davis appreciates the critical role that financial aid can play in gaining access to higher education and changing the trajectory of a young person’s life. In her career, she seeks opportunities to pass her experience forward, serving most recently on the application review committee for KC Scholars, which provides college scholarships to low- and modest-income students. At Commerce, she is a mentor in Commerce Bank’s Credit Training Program for new college graduates, providing training on topics related to healthcare credit, along with personal mentorship. To give back to the healthcare community she serves, Davis has joined the Young Professionals Board of the American Heart Association in Kansas City.
