Commerce donates $6,000 to animal welfare non-profits in inaugural #DriveUpPups campaign

St. Louis, MO – Commerce Bank will donate $1,000 each to six non-profit organizations who help improve the safety and wellbeing of animals in our communities. The funds were donated as part of the #DriveUpPups promotion that ended September 30.

Starting July 1, customers were encouraged to visit a Commerce Bank drive-thru with their pup, receive a treat for their furry friend, safely park and snap a photo of their pup enjoying the treat, then share the photo on Instagram tagging @CommerceBank and using #DriveUpPup. While customers across Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois participated in the fun, Commerce Bank pledged a $10 donation for each photo to benefit the charity partners up to a $6,000 maximum.

“It’s a fun way for us to celebrate some of our favorite ‘customers’ while also giving back to the community,” said Adam Steven, director of regional retail banking for Commerce Bank. “The pups that come visit our branches give our bankers a lot of joy, and this is a nice way for us to thank them – and their owners, of course. We are also pleased to support the efforts of six organizations in the communities we serve who are working to improve the lives of pets and the people who love them.”

Organizations who will receive $1,000 each include KC Pet Project, Tower Grove Park, Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, Central Missouri Humane Society, Kansas Humane Society, and Champaign County Humane Society.
