Oscar Pineda-Madrid Joins Commerce Bank’s Digital Strategy Team

St. Louis, MO – Derrick Brooks, executive vice president, enterprise digital strategy, announced today that Oscar Pineda-Madrid has joined Commerce Bank as vice president, digital strategy leader – growth & innovation. Pineda-Madrid will report to Brooks and help advance the Company’s enterprise-wide digital strategy efforts.

In this role, Pineda-Madrid will support the development of the vision and strategy for and provide implementation support of Commerce Bank’s digital solutions while identifying an approach for systematic innovation across the application ecosystem. He is responsible for leading the digital sales and digital innovation initiatives that are directly correlated to enterprise objectives.

Prior to joining Commerce, Pineda-Madrid most recently co-founded Nimbly, a start-up under a subsidiary of TD Ameritrade. Nimbly focused on helping young consumers eliminate debt and grow savings. He established product vision, user experience and led the development of the Nimbly brand. Prior to that, Pineda-Madrid worked as director, advanced technology at TD Ameritrade, where he maintained a venture-capital style portfolio to drive awareness and adoption of new technologies, fostered firm-wide innovation and created value across the firm. Under his leadership, Pineda-Madrid established the first cross-functional and cross-boundary innovation team in the organization. He also served as director, product innovation at Mastercard where he traveled across the United States and internationally to lead design sprints at Bank of America, Citibank, Santander Bank, SunTrust Bank, American Airlines, and other Fortune 500 companies across banking, healthcare, transportation, retail and entertainment. Pineda-Madrid earned his MBA from Lindenwood University and completed the Innovation and Entrepreneurship program at Stanford University.
