Commerce Bank donates $10,000 to Junior Achievement in Arch Apparel Collaboration
St. Louis, MO – Commerce Bank donated $10,000 to Junior Achievement to support youth financial literacy and encourage entrepreneurship in a collaboration with St. Louis-based retailer Arch Apparel. The retailer launched a limited-time Midwest Made Collection the day after Thanksgiving online and in-stores for shoppers who want to showcase Midwest pride. Commerce Bank matched sales from the collection through December 14 for the benefit of Junior Achievement, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed.
“We are excited Junior Achievement will receive the full $10,000 donation and grateful for the collaboration with Commerce Bank,” said Arch Apparel owner Aaron Park. “It was so successful, we sold out of several items and had to restock to meet the demand,” Park revealed.
The collaboration aligns with Commerce Bank’s goal to help build strong communities. “We believe thriving businesses and investing in youth are two ways to support the communities where we live and work,” says Chuck Kim, executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Commerce Bancshares, Inc., and Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis board member. “Highlighting a small business during the holiday shopping season, reaching our goal of a $10,000 donation to Junior Achievement to support youth financial education, and showcasing our Midwest pride in the same effort is the gift that keeps giving.”
