Commerce Bank named to Forbes’ America’s Best Banks list each of the 13 years it's been published.

Forbes America's Best Banks

ST. LOUIS – Commerce Bank was named to Forbes’ America’s Best Banks 2022 list for the 13th consecutive year.

According to Forbes, America’s Best Banks list was established in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. Forbes has worked with S&P Global Market Intelligence for the last 13 years to factor in financial data on the growth, credit quality and profitability of the 100 largest publicly-traded banks and thrifts by asset size.

Commerce Bank has earned a spot on the list each year since its inception in 2009. “We are honored to be recognized by Forbes as one of the best banks in the nation, and it’s particularly meaningful given the change and challenges faced by the banking industry in 2021. This recognition is a testament to our talented team members and their unwavering commitment to our purpose and culture,” said John W. Kemper, president and chief executive officer, Commerce Bancshares, Inc. “Our results are a reflection of the way our team works collaboratively, communicates, and strives toward the shared goal of helping our customers focus on what matters most.”

This recognition follows other recent acknowledgements including being named to Forbes’ America’s Best Midsize Employers list and Newsweek’s Best Banks 2022 list. To see the full article and Forbes’ 2022 ranking of the 100 largest banks in America, visit forbes.com.
