Commerce Bank named to the Forbes Best Employer by State list in Missouri

Kansas City, Mo. – September 7, 2022 — Commerce Bank has been named to the Forbes Best Employer by State list in Missouri. Forbes conducted this survey with the ongoing pandemic in consideration, as well as other aspects that have come from hybrid or remote work environments such as employee burnout. Employers chosen for this year’s list have prompted new levels of corporate activism to address top concerns among employees including remote-work benefits, pay equity, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Commerce Bank has introduced new programs to support the wellbeing of team members including hybrid work options, financial wellbeing resources, and employee resource groups to foster a sense of belonging across the company. The communities that form within these support groups have been a key component in maintaining a positive work environment within Commerce. Commerce Bank was named to Forbes’ Best Midsize Employers in America list for the fifth year in a row earlier this year.

“Being recognized on the Forbes list this year is truly an honor,” said Kim Jakovich, senior vice president, executive director of talent management. “At Commerce, our culture is a top priority, and we believe that we can’t give our best to our customers without working from the inside out and empowering our team members first. I’m proud of the many initiatives that have strengthened our teams and helped us continue to grow together.”

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to anonymously survey 70,000 Americans who work at businesses with at least 500 employees across the 50 states and the District of Columbia. For more information, you can find the complete list here.
