Commerce Bank to Start Construction on a New Liberty Banking Center

Kansas City, MO – Commerce Bank will build a new, modern banking center in Liberty to better meet the changing needs of customers. As more customers turn to digital banking services, Commerce saw an opportunity to rethink the banking center layout and allow for future development in Liberty.

Customers who visit the nearly 17,000 square foot banking center at 1 Liberty Bell Circle will soon have access to a modern branch of the same lot with a more efficiently designed space. The new banking center will be about 7,000 square feet and have additional private consultation areas to meet customer requests for personal advice and guidance.

“We have grown with Liberty for more than 45 years and we are excited about our plans in the area,” said Kelly Collins, Commerce Bank’s Regional Retail Banking Director. “Our new space will offer an enhanced customer experience in a modern designed branch. This investment in Liberty is part of Commerce Bank’s commitment to the Kansas City region and follows other banking center enhancements at 10th and Main, Roeland Park, and Stateline,” Collins added.

Construction will begin in 2022 with a plan to complete it in 2023. A temporary location will be established to provide customers uninterrupted access throughout the construction period.
