Commerce pledges to donate $10,000 to animal welfare non-profits in second annual #DriveUpPups campaign

St. Louis, MO – Commerce Bank will donate up to $10,000 to be distributed to seven non-profit organizations who help improve the safety and wellbeing of animals in our communities. The funds will be donated as part of the second annual #DriveUpPups promotion that will run July 1 through September 30, 2022.

Starting July 1, customers will be encouraged to visit a Commerce Bank drive-thru with their pup, receive a treat for their furry friend, safely park and snap a photo of their pup enjoying the treat, then share the photo on Instagram, tagging @CommerceBank and using #DriveUpPup. Customers across Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Illinois will be welcome to participate in the fun. Commerce Bank has pledged to donate $10 for each photo to benefit the charity partners up to a $10,000 maximum.

At St. Louis and Kansas City branches, Commerce Bank will work with Bar K, a dog-friendly bar and restaurant, to provide customers with an extra treat for themselves. Those who bring their pet with them to participating Commerce Bank branches will receive a card for free entry to Bar K.

“It’s a fun way for us to celebrate some of our favorite ‘customers’ while also giving back to the community,” said Adam Steven, director of regional retail banking for Commerce Bank. “The pups that come visit our branches give our bankers a lot of joy, and this is a nice way for us to thank them — and their owners, of course. We are also pleased to support the efforts of seven organizations in the communities we serve who are working to improve the lives of pets and the people who love them.”
