John Molnar Joins CommercePayments® Team
Kansas City, MO – Commerce Bank welcomes John Molnar as Senior Vice President, Sales Director in Commercial Card. In this role, Molnar will lead the Commerce Bank national sales force that focuses on its banking footprint as well as several industry-specific verticals like construction, healthcare, government and education.
With more than 25 years of commercial card sales and sales management experience, Molnar joins the Commerce team after four years at Capital One, where he was Senior Director of Strategic Sales. There, he created a national sales team focused on the large market segment. Prior to Capital One, Molnar was in channel development at Comdata and invested almost 20 years at AMEX in a number of commercial card, travel management, and healthcare sales leadership roles. John has a passion for developing sales teams and coaching them to maximize their potential.
“We’re very excited to welcome John to the Commerce Card team,” said Roger Williams, Senior Vice President in Commercial Payments. “His background leading effective sales teams and his breadth of Commercial Payments knowledge will help our sales teams evolve with the fast pace of change.”
One of Molnar’s long-term goals is to improve the manual payment process common in the construction industry, which often involves lengthy delays and significant costs due to inefficiencies.
He has a B.S. in Business Administration, with a minor in History, from Bloomfield College.
