Commerce Bank Names Kevin Cooper as Oklahoma City Market President

Oklahoma City, Okla.Commerce Bank announced today the appointment of Kevin Cooper as Oklahoma City Market President. A native Oklahoman, Cooper brings 24 years of broad experience in commercial banking, capital markets transactions, treasury solutions and strategic advisory services.

Cooper advises mid-market businesses of all sizes on their most important challenges and opportunities including accessing capital, improving processes through technology, and leveraging relationships to support growth initiatives. Before joining Commerce, he advised customers through mergers and acquisitions, private and public debt, equity placements and senior debt syndications.

Cooper recently moved from Tulsa back to his hometown region. He grew up in Jones, OK, and still has family there. He reports to Shannon O’Doherty, chief executive officer of the Oklahoma Region. “We are delighted to welcome Kevin back to his Oklahoma City roots. He is an established leader and has an innovative mindset. Cooper began his career in the banking industry in 1999 as a credit analyst, underwriter and structuring officer. In his role as Commerce’s Oklahoma City market leader, he will lead a team of industry specialists in the fields of healthcare, commercial and industrial, commercial real estate, equipment finance and advanced payment technology.
