ST. LOUIS -- Commerce Bank has been recognized on Forbes’ 2023 America’s Best Midsize Employers List for the sixth consecutive year. Falling unemployment that drives increased competition for talent makes the recognition particularly meaningful.

“This is the sixth time Forbes named Commerce a best midsize employer, and we are just as excited as the first time,” said Kim Jakovich, executive vice president, talent management, Commerce Bank. “Our culture is our competitive advantage, so we take an intentional approach to introducing and reinforcing it at every level of the organization. This helps create a sense of belonging that leads to team members reporting high engagement, enablement and overall satisfaction in our annual surveys.”

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista on the America’s Best Midsize Bank list. They surveyed nearly 45,000 Americans working for businesses with 1,000 to 5,000 employees in their U.S. operations. Participants were asked if they would recommend their current employers to friends and family (on a scale of 0 to 10), and to cite any other employer they would also recommend. The final list, which can be found here, ranks the 500 midsize employers that received the most recommendations.
