Kansas City, Mo. – The Kansas City Business Journal recently named Commerce Bank to its Champions of Business list. Commerce, along with four other companies, joined the Hall of Champions — an honor bestowed on businesses receiving the recognition for the third time.

Commerce received the recognition, in part, because of its investment in community, people and innovation.

“Our culture centers on maintaining a deep commitment to our customers,” said Kevin Barth, Chairman & CEO, Commerce Bank – Kansas City. “In particular, we increasingly find we’re able to help our commercial customers identify needs they didn’t even know they had. Our goal is to bring that same level of commitment and innovation to the communities we serve, and we appreciate the Kansas City Business Journal recognizing those efforts.”

The Champions of Business program honors Kansas City-area for-profit companies that set the gold standard for areas such as financial performance, innovation, leadership and community involvement.

Honorees were recognized at an awards dinner on May 30.
