ST LOUIS – Commerce was recently recognized by S&P Global Market Intelligence as one of the Top U.S. Public Banks based on financial performance in 2023. Of the 100 banks in the analysis, Commerce ranked among the top 10 banks, earning the ninth spot.
This ranking highlights major exchange-traded banks with total assets greater than $10 billion that successfully balanced growth and profitability while navigating a challenging operating environment. Banks were ranked based on three major categories: growth, profitability, and safety and soundness.
