O'Doherty is a woman of the year honoree.
TULSA, Okla. –– Shannon O’Doherty, CEO, Commerce Bank – Oklahoma, was named among The Journal Record’s Woman of the Year honorees.
The Woman of the Year program recognizes outstanding leaders in Oklahoma who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, and whose professional accomplishments and contributions are positively impacting their industries and communities.
O’Doherty joined Commerce in 1999 in a role in which she focused on reviewing loans before serving as a team leader in the residential construction/development and commercial lending departments in Kansas City. In 2012, she relocated to Oklahoma, serving as Executive Vice President and manager of Commercial and Industrial Banking. She was named CEO of Oklahoma in 2017. Her responsibilities include overseeing operations for all three of the bank’s locations in Oklahoma while pursuing growth opportunities in the region, developing new loan and deposit opportunities and managing a team of commercial, industrial and energy banking officers.

O’Doherty is a highly active civic leader in the Oklahoma region, offering her time and supporting the Tulsa Regional Chamber, Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Philbrook Museum of Art, Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, YWCA and Meals on Wheels. She is also a current committee member for the Tulsa Area United Way Campaign Cabinet.
