Branch Policy: Verifying Customer Identity

The safety and security of our customers and team members is a priority.

Commerce Bank takes a variety of measures to help deter crime and protect our customers and team members, such as verifying the identity of customers.

For the security of our team and customers, we ask anyone wearing an object that obstructs our view of their face such as sunglasses, hats or hoods, to remove the item during the visit. For customers wearing a mask, we ask that they temporarily lower their mask so we may identify them. Once the customer’s identity has been verified, they may wear the item for the remainder of their visit.

If a customer is uncomfortable removing an item temporarily for identification, we can serve them in the drive thru, ATM, Online Banking, Mobile Banking or the Commerce Bank CONNECT® app.
