Set up your direct deposit online with Direct Deposit Connect™

Enroll in direct deposit in minutes with Direct Deposit Connect™ through Online Banking or the Commerce Bank Mobile App. Plus, once you’ve set up your direct deposit, you can get access to your paycheck up to 2 days early with Early Pay.*

How to use Direct Deposit Connect™

1. Log in and navigate to Direct Deposits.


In the Commerce Bank Mobile App, go to “Deposits” in the main menu and select “Direct Deposit”.

In Online Banking, select the main menu option for “Customer Service”, then “Account Management”. From there, within "Account Services", select "Direct Deposit".

2. Select your account and choose your payroll provider.


Select the Commerce Bank account you want your direct deposit to be deposited to. Choose your employer or payroll provider and log in using your payroll provider credentials.

3. Confirm your direct deposit set up.


Verify that your information is accurate with the account you’ve chosen and payroll provider information.

Once verified, tap “Confirm”. It typically takes 1-2 pay periods for the change to take effect, depending on your employer or payroll provider.

Direct Deposit Connect™ FAQs

You can verify the update directly with your employer or payroll provider.

If your employer or payroll provider isn't listed, you can proceed with our manual (Direct Deposit Connect™) option that will generate a direct deposit form you can give to your Human Resources department. Alternatively, you can follow the steps below to set up a direct deposit of your paycheck or other qualifying deposit to your checking or savings account.

  • Print out and complete the Direct Deposit Authorization Form [PDF]. Include your routing and account number on the form. These numbers can be found on the bottom of your checks, through the Commerce Bank Mobile App (on the Account Overview screen), through Online Banking (on the Account Activity page), or at a branch.
  • For direct deposit to a checking account, be sure to attach a voided check or deposit slip with the form.
  • Submit the completed form to your employer’s payroll department.
Most payroll providers offer recovery options during setup. If not, you may need to reset your credentials on their website and return to Online Banking or the Commerce Bank Mobile App to complete the setup.
To cancel your direct deposit, contact your employer or payroll provider directly. To change your direct deposit to a different Commerce Bank checking or savings account, you can initiate a new setup in Online Banking or our mobile app, which will replace the existing direct deposit setup.

You’ll need:

  • An eligible Commerce Bank checking, savings, or money market account
  • Activate Online Banking and download the Commerce Bank Mobile App
  • Your payroll provider login credentials

*You may receive a direct deposit up to two days early with Early Pay if you have 1) a checking or savings account with us, and 2) a recurring qualifying direct deposit to that account. Qualifying direct deposits may include a recurring ACH deposit of less than $10,000.00 for payroll, Social Security or other government benefits, or pensions.
