How do I enroll in Early Pay?
You don’t need to enroll. You will benefit from Early Pay automatically if you’ve set up a qualifying direct deposit into your Commerce Bank checking or savings account.
How do I set up Direct Deposit?
Complete this Direct Deposit Form [PDF] along with a voided check or deposit slip from your Commerce Bank account and submit it to your employer’s payroll department.
Can I opt out of Early Pay?
No. Because Early Pay is a no-cost service for Commerce Bank customers who have a qualified direct deposit. You are not required to use the funds available to you at the time that they become available. Early Pay is not a loan. Early Pay makes your Direct Deposit available to you up to two days before the payment effective date provided by your employer or other qualifying payor.
What type of accounts are eligible for Early Pay?
Commerce Bank checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts and prepaid cards.
What kind of direct deposits qualify for Early Pay?
The direct deposit must be a recurring ACH deposit of less than $10,000.00. This may include payroll, Social Security or other government benefits, or pensions.

As a Commerce Bank checking or savings customer, Early Pay gives you access to your paycheck or other qualified, recurring automated deposit up to two days before your scheduled deposit. There’s no enrollment required; you only need to set up a direct deposit to your Commerce checking account, savings account or prepaid card.
Are there any fees associated with Early Pay?
There is no fee! Early Pay is another added benefit of having a checking or savings account with Commerce Bank.
Is Early Pay a loan?
No, Early Pay is not a loan. Early Pay makes your Direct Deposit available to you up to two days before the payment effective date provided by your employer or other qualifying payor.*

How does Early Pay work?
If you already have a Commerce Bank checking account, savings account or prepaid card, all you’ll need to do is set up a qualifying direct deposit into your account(s). If you’ve already set up a qualifying direct deposit into your Commerce Bank checking or savings account(s), you’re automatically enrolled. If we receive your direct deposit information from your employer or other qualifying payor before the payment effective date, we will make your deposit available up to two days earlier.

When can I access my funds with Early Pay?
The timing of funds available for access through Early Pay varies depending on your employer or other qualifying payor. Early Pay allows access to your funds up to two days early if your payor provides the information early.
What happens if I use Early Pay and then leave my job?
If you leave your job, you will need to set up direct deposit through your new employer. It will take up to 60 days for the new deposit to be included in Early Pay.
How long after I set up a direct deposit will it take to start receiving my payment early?
Depending on your employer or other qualifying payor, it may take up to 60 days after you set up your direct deposit for Early Pay to begin.
Will my direct deposit always arrive early?
Payors don’t always submit their direct deposit information at the same time for each recurring payment. For example, for one payment period the payor may submit it one day before the effective date of the payment; and in the next they may submit it two days before. Unfortunately, Commerce Bank doesn’t have control over the timing of when employers or other qualifying payors submit the direct deposit information. However, you can sign up for balance Alerts, so you are notified when you receive your direct deposits.
