Blank checks
I prefer not to receive blank checks in the mail. I do not intend to use Commerce Bank as a checking account. If someone gains access to those blank checks through intentional or unintentional diversion, such as being put in the wrong mailbox which happens a lot, anyone can write checks on my account. I am seriously considering cancelling the credit card because of this.

poor customer service experiences & payment problems
Your customer service hours are lacking; various times when calling customer service (always because of a payment processing time issue), reps were unhelpful, unfriendly, and would never resolve the issues. Even supervisors would not help. When making online payments, there is always a problem, especially when close to the weekend or a holiday, with how quickly the payment will post to open up available credit. This causes problems when the card is needed over a long holiday weekend but the payment won't post until a day or two after business days resume. This really needs to be fixed. If a payment is made before a certain time of day, it should be credited to the account the very next day regardless of day of the week. As well, if additional credit beyond the credit limit is needed while waiting for a payment to post, customer service reps should be able to implement such a temporary increase especially for good customers. Also, for good customers, you should be able to easily and periodically increase my credit line. Every time I ask about it, I'm told that I have to reapply for a whole new card. That is simply ridiculous.
