Customer Service and Credit Limit
I have been a customer with Commerce for over 10 years. I've always paid on time and been a super loyal customer.
In 2019 I was sent to the ER and missed my payment date due to being hospitalized. I called claiming the incident and my late payment fee was waived.
At the beginning of this year, 2021, my app wasn't working when I signed in to make my credit card payment. I tried calling and waited for over an hour and had to hang up because of work. I continued to call due to the app being down but my payment was late at this point.
A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail stating my credit limit was dropping (more than half of what my limit was) due to my credit score and late payment, which was above 700!
I talked to a manager who told me there was nothing I could do, which left me super disappointed in this company.
I will be closing out my account soon and wish to no longer have any accounts with Commerce Bank, which is unfortunate. I've had this account since college and never had issues. One late payment seems unfair to drop a credit limit, and this caused my credit score to drop over 50pts.

I just wish i never had a credit card. Ever.
That's all. Nothing against this card. I just should have never opened credit card accounts. Ever. I will probably never get out from underneath them so if you're reading this, contemplating this credit card, just walk away. Don't get this card or any other credit card. Ever.
