Getting Ready

  • Gather all annual tax documents you’ve received that record your taxable income and deductible expenses. Most will arrive by the end of January.
  • Review your past 6 months of checking, savings and money market account history.
  • Download and print important documents, like your W-2 or Form 1099 for income reporting. Some of these are available through Online Banking.
  • Gather any receipts you’ll need if you’re planning to itemize deductions.
  • Get out your copy of last year’s return to use for reference.
  • Your tax pro, tax software, or the IRS has all the tax forms you’ll need for your return.

Accessing Your Forms

Your original paper forms will be mailed by January 31st. If you haven’t received them by February 15, contact us.

How to view forms online

  • Log in to Online Banking and click “Account Management” under "Customer Service" and then "View Tax Forms". There is no fee to view or print copies of your forms.
  • Only copies of your original current tax forms are online. Contact us if you need a copy of a previous tax year or a correction notice.
  • Copies of tax forms are available online for your convenience, but you will still receive your original paper tax forms in the mail.
  • Commercial and Small Business customers cannot view copies of their tax forms online at this time. Please direct questions or requests for copies to our Customer Contact Center.

Who can access forms

  • Personal Online Banking customers can view copies of their original tax forms for those accounts associated with their Social Security Number online.
  • Tax forms are issued, and copies are made available to view online, to the primary account holder only. The primary account holder, whose Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) appears on the tax statement itself, is the individual whose name appears first on the account.

  • Commerce doesn’t provide 1099 forms for less than $10 of interest in a calendar year. If your my incentive bonus meets or exceeds $10, it is considered interest by the IRS and is required to be reported on Form 1099-INT.
  • If your myRewards incentive bonus meets or exceeds $10, it is considered interest by the IRS and is required to be reported on Form 1099-INT.
